The Choice

Simone has been told many times, that she should write a book about her life, and she certainly would agree that her life has not been a dull one.  At least not until recently.  In the last few years, she had been looking for normal, but for Simone normal was a bit like dying, and it made her depressed, to just sit upon the sidelines and not act or react to the life happenings that were surrounding her.

Deep in her heart Simone knew she had been destined for something, and once, she had been sure of exactly what it that was.  Lately, she had great doubts, and fears, and it seemed that lack of living had sapped all of her life energy.  She was tired.

Now, in her heart she felt a choice had been set before her.  A choice between 'life and death, and between blessing and cursing'.  It was plain which choice she should make, but Simone knows that living is never easy, and blessings almost always come in disguise.  Dying is the easy choice, slow dying, not so easy, and curses only make dying seem like a blessing.

Today Simone is choosing "life and blessings".  She knows what lies before her is not going to be easy.  She is going to say "Yes" before she even knows what God is going to ask her to do.  She is aware that it will lead her into unknown territory, she will be living and she will be blessed, and she is sure none of it will be what she expects...it will be so much better!

  1. I hope your choice takes you to where you want to be, Simone. Our life is what we make it or perceieve it to be!
