ONE WAY OUT!

Yesterday, Simone purchased a ONE WAY air fare ticket to California.  Her daughter in law Mindy was going to pay for her flight home when the time came.  She was going to be there for Thanksgiving, and maybe even Christmas too.

It has been very slow at  her work, and it seemed the month of December was going to be even worse.  Simone feels as if she has thrown all caution to the wind, and doesn't know if she has done the right thing or not.  However, she is excited because almost all of her family will be there, including her oldest son who is going through a terrible divorce, and all of her grandchildren, except one.  Simone secretly wishes her daughter and her granddaughter who live in her same town would come too.  That would make the season almost perfect.

Simone has been rethinking, and rethinking things, and she is feeling extremely bad that she may have offended those she loves.  Drinking is something she has always had a hangup about since her father had been a raging alcoholic and abusive.  Until recently, she herself would not drink at all, but lately has found that social drinking is something totally different.  She also realized something else.  The man at the lake actually reminded her of her father.  They even looked similar.  Perhaps she is judging a book by it's cover, but for Simone, right now her thoughts are on other things, and she does not feel as if she wants to involve anyone, or get involved with anyone.

It seems her grandchildren in California, are being left to their own devices.  Their mother, has been drinking excessively, and staying out until all hours, and just yesterday, she passed out at work and ended up in the hospital.  Simone's son has been spending all his time traveling to meet with his new girlfriend, and the kids are suffering.  Simone feels there is something she must do to help.

She must see them, and see for herself the situation.

  1. Have a safe trip Simone, hope the situation there isn't as bad as it seems. Maybe being with your sons and grandchildren will ease your mind about them. Will you be taking Sadie with you? Take care!
